Sunday, June 29th

We kick-off the summer season with our Lantern BBQ for families who have referred brand-new campers to 4-H Camp.

More information about the Lantern Family program can be found here

Lantern BBQ

Themes are like the spice of a Summer Camp week, a way for us to “switch it up a bit” for each session of the season. 95% of every Camp week features the same great classic Camp schedule and activities, but each theme brings its own unique twist. Every Wednesday night we’ll have a theme activity, and the theme will always dictate Friday afternoon’s culminating all-camp game. The theme will also influence our campfires, talent shows, and what crazy costumes our counselors might be donning that week. We always recommend parents pick the session that fits their schedule best, but if a specific theme suits your camper, that just might be the best week for them to come to Camp!

June 30th - July 5th

Pirates of Lake Shawanni

We kick off the summer with PIRATES week! Lake Shawanni will become our seven seas and all the campers shall join together as a true crew of loyal mateys. Shores will be ahoyed, timbers will be shivered, treasure will be plundered, and we’ll talk as Pirates do FAR more than necessary. Through all the fun, adventure, and misadventure we’ll of course be sure to avoid scurvy with our large supply of readily available fresh fruit.

For Session #1, we are offering an optional early Sunday Drop-Off for just $50 per camper. Session #1 can start their week an evening early by arriving Sunday evening.
July 7th - 12th

Whodunnit?

Well, the mystery at the heart of Whodunnit Week is so mysterious that we have no idea what it even is! But, chances are there will be an incident so surprising, so confounding, so puzzling that it will take our entire camp-full of amateur detectives to crack the case. We’ll all break out our notebooks and magnifying glasses as we sort through clues, hints, tip-offs, suspects and red-herrings to figure our exactly what is at the heart of our Summer Camp mystery, and who’s behind it. (To go out on a limb, it’s probably going to end up being one of the counselors. The counselors are almost always behind this type of thing.)
July 14th - 19th

Broken Time Machine

We’re going all the way to the back of the maintenance shop and dusting off our trusty 4-H Camp Time Machine! Sure, it’s been sitting idle for a couple seasons, but we’re confident the ol’ thing still works just fine. We’ll fire the contraption up and journey to all the great historic time periods, from the Stone Age to Ancient Rome to The Renaissance and off to the future and beyond. It’ll go great, and we’ll arrive at and depart all our destinations with no issues or exciting mishaps whatsoever. Like everything else on our 75-year-old facility, it’s held up just fine and we never have any problems with it, so the Time Machine is sure to work perfectly and certainly won’t be broken at all.
July 21st - 26th

Campandemonium

Camp (proper noun) - Colloquial shortened term referring to the New Jersey 4-H Camp, your classic-rustic-tech-free-new-friend-making-caring-community-building-more-fun-than-you-can-shake-a-stick-summer-home-away-from-home.

Pandemonium (noun)- Wild and noisy disorder and confusion. An uproar.

Campandemonium (also a noun. Maybe a verb?) - Just you wait and see.

It’s going to be a switch-up, change-up, switch-change, change-switch-it-up kind of week: Camp locations will shuffle, activities will jumble, roles will rearrange, and some wacky memorable moments always go down during Campandemonium.

July 30th - August 16th

THE BIG SESSION

This August, we are offering our 5th annual BIG SESSION. Designed for returning campers who have already loved their time at 4-H Camp in the past (or new campers who are confident that 4-H Camp is the place for them to spend most of a month), simply put, it’s a lot MORE CAMP. If the one-week sessions are a go-go-go “event”, then the Big Session is all about the “camp lifestyle” where campers get the opportunity to just enjoy residing at 4-H Camp for an extended period of time. Featuring all the themes from earlier in the summer, our BIG classes, and a ton of activities exclusive to our Big Session, we build a special kind of community that can only be accomplished in 18 straight days at 4-H Camp.

Click here for more details on the Big Session.

July 30th - August 7th

THE LITTLE BIG SESSION

New for Summer 2025!

Three nights longer than a classic one-week session, but half the time of our BIG Sesh, The Little BIG Session is an option for families who want a bit more time at 4-H Camp but still allow for flexibility in their August schedule.

Campers enrolled in Little BIG will participate in all aspects of the first half of the BIG Session, fully completing their Period One and Two classes and four meetings of their chosen BIG Classes. They will get the opportunity for their own Closing Ceremonies and farewells before they depart the morning of Halfway Day of the BIG Session.

Bunks for the Little BIG Session are extremely limited per age group – we recommend signing up early if this option best fits your camper.
